Ontario's Immigration Strategy Released

On November 5, 2012, the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship & Immigration released the province's first-ever immigration strategy concluding, "When immigrants succeed, Ontario succeeds. Making immigration work better for immigrants, their families and our province will ensure a strong Ontario and an even stronger Canada."

The strategy sets a new direction in how the province proposes to select, welcome and help immigrants. The vision is to build a highly skilled workforce and support the development of strong communities where all Ontarians can thrive.

The strategy follows the release of the Final Report by Ontario's Expert Roundtable on Immigration in September.
